Israel’s international fifth column exposed
The shocking story of Ben Zygier, a 34-year-old Australian recruited by the Mossad and quite possibly murdered in an Israeli jail cell in 2010, has exposed Israel’s international fifth column to the light of day. This whale surfaces every once in a while. Remember the “passport farm” run by the Israelis in New Zealand back in 2004? Similar operations were uncovered in Australia and in Israel itself: regarding the latter, travelers to the Jewish state had their identities stolen, their passports duplicated and handed out like candy to Mossad agents. Then there were those two FBI raids on the Washington headquarters of AIPAC, the powerful Israeli lobby, during the course of which agents surrounded the building and carted out boxes of documents and computer hard drives as part of the Steve Rosen-Keith Weissman affair, in which two top AIPAC officials were indicted and tried for stealing US secrets from the Pentagon, and only had their case dropped because a trial would have revealed those secrets to the world. And who could forget that 2001 Fox News four-part series reported by Carl Cameron, which concluded there was evidence the Israelis were watching the 9/11 hijackers on American soil and failed to report their movements to US authorities?
This time, however, the story has an unusual twist. It appears that Zygier, a fervent Zionist, discovered something that caused him to turn against his Mossad bosses – something so sensitive, of such importance to the Jewish state, that his incarceration in a Israel’s high security Ayalon prison – in a “suicide-proof” cell originally designed for Yitzhad Rabin’s assassin – was a closely-guarded secret. Prison personnel were not told his identity, and a media blackout was imposed shortly after the story of “Prisoner X” came out in the Israeli media. All mentions of the arrest were scrubbed from Israeli web sites.
That was two years ago. Now we learn Zygier “committed suicide” in his suicide-proof cell.
The Australians had been on his trail for a while. He and two other Australians who had emigrated to Israel and then returned after changing their names – and applying for Australian passports – were under investigation for engaging in espionage. An Australian journalist had questioned Zygier about his activities, and he furiously denied being involved in any covert activities on Israel’s behalf. There are reports of his interrogation by ASIO, Australia’s intelligence agency.
There seems little doubt Zygier was recruited by Mossad ten to twelve years ago: his friends are now recalling it. The New York Times says he used at least four names: Ben Zygier, Ben Alon, Ben Allen and Benjamin Burrows, traveling to Iran, Syria, and Lebanon on behalf of his Israeli paymasters. The nature of his transgression has yet to be definitively revealed, yet the story is coming out in spite of the Israeli government’s frantic efforts to stop it. The Sydney Morning Herald reports:
“Australian security officials suspect that Ben Zygier, the spy who died in a secret Israeli prison cell in 2010, may have been about to disclose information about Israeli intelligence operations, including the use of fraudulent Australian passports, either to the Australian government or to the media before he was arrested.
“‘[Zygier] may well have been about to blow the whistle, but he never got the chance,’ an Australian security official with knowledge of the case told Fairfax Media yesterday.
“Sources in Canberra are insistent that the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) was not informed by its Israeli counterparts of the precise nature of the espionage allegations against Mr Zygier. However, it is understood that the former Melbourne law graduate had been in contact with Australian intelligence.”
There is much speculation surrounding the reasons for Zygier’s arrest: the most popular appears to be that he was about to reveal details of the 2010 Mossad hit job in Dubai, during which an entire team of some 20 Mossad agents succeeded in murdering an Arab arms dealer with links to Hamas.
The problem with this theory is that the facts about that case are pretty much known: the Israelis collected data from travelers to Israel and then used it to create bogus passports, which were then issued to Mossad agents. Photos of these agents appeared in the Kuwaiti media, and were published on the internet. A Kuwaiti paper is now claiming it was Zygier who turned over this information, including the photos, to the Kuwaitis, and that the Israelis kidnapped him in Kuwait. The paper quotes “a former Mossad commander” who contends Zygier was part of the Dubai assassination team until he “switched to the other side.” Yet this tall tale hardly explains why the Israelis would keep the identity of “Prisoner X” such a closely-guarded secret, quashing press reports of his incarceration, and denying his very existence until now. It wouldn’t explain why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called an “emergency” meeting with Israeli editors over their handling of the story. And it wouldn’t account for the fact that Zygier was apparently in contact with the Australian intelligence service prior to his arrest – or have they, too, “switched to the other side”?
I guess it all depends on what one means by “other side.” Because, from the perspective of the increasingly isolated Israeli government – which cultivates a narrative of the Jewish state as besieged on every side – “the other side” means everybody else, including the West.
We don’t know the nature of Zygier’s “crime,” but we know with reasonable certainty what it was not. In all likelihood it had nothing to do with the Dubai assassination, the forging of passports, or any of the other depredations against international law and morality that we already know about. It’s something new – and worse.
There is some speculation it had something to do with the impersonation of CIA officers by Mossad agents who were trying to recruit Jundullah terrorists in their campaign to destabilize Iran, and this may be more credible: after all, according to the report by Mark Perry in Foreign Policy, “The Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting U.S. passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives – what is commonly referred to as a ‘false flag’ operation.” (Emphasis added.)
So it isn’t just Australian, New Zealand, and European passports the Israelis are stealing – there’s an Israeli “passport farm” churning out American passports, too. But then again, why would Zygier – reportedly a committed Zionist, who had been recruited by Mossad and emigrated to Israel where he started a family – threaten to expose this type of operation? It doesn’t add up – unless the Israelis were mounting an operation against his native Australia, or other Western countries such as the US.
Israel’s Mossad is notorious for its ruthlessness, and its unwillingness to play by the rules: for example, when it comes to industrial espionage, Israel’s Western “allies” are considered fair game. A GAO report on Israeli espionage in the US concluded the Jewish state “conducts the most aggressive espionage operation against the United States of any U.S. ally.” Australia presumably merits the same treatment. But Zygier didn’t “switch sides” because of a few stolen gadgets. It had to have been something that aroused his conscience, and perhaps reawakened long dormant loyalty to his Australian homeland – or to the concept of morality itself.
This is not the Israel we once knew, or thought we knew. We are dealing here with Bibi Netanyahu’s Israel, a country veering to the very edge of fundamentalist extremism, increasingly aggressive and impatient to assert itself as the dominant power in the Middle East. Their above-ground lobby is not only hyperactive, it is hyper-potent, strong enough to rule the US Congress with an iron hand – as Chuck Hagel pointed out, to his sorrow – and do much to push the US into a disastrous war in Iraq (as John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt showed in their book on The Israel Lobby). Yet what about the clandestine aspect of this phenomenon – the covert complement to Israel’s overt fifth column? The Zygier affair gives us a brief, incomplete glimpse at this sinister subterranean creature, and a scary one it is.
No, we don’t know why the Israelis kept “Prisoner X” locked up in absolute secrecy, and then panicked when word leaked out about his “suicide.” No, we don’t know for sure that he was murdered by his jailers – although his lawyer, who saw him days before his death, has said he seemed rational and not at all suicidal. We can’t know for certain what horror he uncovered, and caused him to rebel. Yet that horror, whatever it was, was no ordinary one: it motivated him to reject the views and actions of a lifetime, and reverse course with stunning abruptness.
Zygier was reportedly offered a plea bargain by the Israeli authorities, and turned it down because he was determined to clear his name. Was he an Israeli Bradley Manning, intent on exposing the crimes of the Jewish state – crimes we can only imagine?
NOTES IN THE MARGIN
The Republican filibuster of Chuck Hagel reared its head too late for me to comment, and I’ll save my remarks for Monday, when the dust has cleared. Suffice to say here that I was far too optimistic to shout “How Sweet It Is!” — the title of my last column on the Hagel nomination. That’ll teach me to jump the gun when it comes to declaring victory over the Lazarus-like neocons. I have to take some grim satisfaction, however, in pointing out that the Senate vote underscores my political acuity when it comes to another topic I’ve been dealing with this week – the politics of Sen. Rand Paul, a.k.a. Paul the Lesser.
Sen. Paul voted “no,” giving the Hagel-haters the one-vote margin they needed to delay the confirmation for another ten days. Phil Klein, neoconnish political reporter over at the Washington Examiner, tweeted “Rand Paul, neocon hero!” To which I can only say – with absolutely no relish – didn’t I tell you so? Heck, I nailed the Lesser Paul back in 2010, before he even made it to the Senate.
Yes, but my prescience – however much I brag and carry on about it – is really no fun at all: remember Cassandra, of Greek mythology, who offended the gods and was punished in a unique manner? The poor thing was granted the gift of prophecy, but cursed with the proviso that no one would ever believe her. These days I often recall the poet Robinson Jeffers’s conjuration of this ancient tale:
“The mad girl with the staring eyes and long white fingers
Hooked in the stones of the wall,
The storm-wrack hair and screeching mouth: does it matter, Cassandra,
Whether the people believe
Your bitter fountain? Truly men hate the truth, they’d liefer
Meet a tiger on the road.
Therefore the poets honey their truth with lying; but religion –
Vendors and political men
Pour from the barrel, new lies on the old, and are praised for kind
Wisdom. Poor bitch be wise.
No: you’ll still mumble in a corner a crust of truth, to men
And gods disgusting – you and I, Cassandra.”
A final note: In case you haven’t seen the front page, our fundraising drive is still in full swing – but we haven’t allowed it to take over practically the entire page, as per usual – we’re waiting to see if subtlety works. If it doesn’t we’ll go back to hitting our readers and supporters over the head with the works. I just hope it doesn’t come to that and for a very good reason: there’s too much going on. These are unusually active times in the world of foreign policy, and the question of war and peace is at the top of the national agenda. The debate has never been fiercer. And it has never been more important for us to carry out our primary mission: to keep our readers fully educated and up-to-date on matters dealing with America’s relationship with the rest of the world.
In short: please don’t make us devote 2/3rds of the front page to a freaking fundraising appeal. Please make your fully tax-deductible donation today – nay, right now. Before I go crazy.
I’m on Twitter quite a bit these days: you can follow me here.

Excerpted from Chapter 11: Noriega of Panama: Big Oil & Their Bankers in the Persian Gulf…
In 1954 CIA Director Allen Dulles rescued BP by launching Operation Ajax against Iran’s democratically-elected Mohamed Mossadegh. That same year Dulles came to the aid of United Fruit Company in Guatemala, where nationalist Jacobo Arbenz was elected President on a platform promising land reform.
When Arbenz targeted United Fruit’s 550,000 acre banana plantations for expropriation, Dulles turned to his old employer Sullivan & Cromwell to plot the overthrow of Arbenz.
Sullivan was BP’s lawyer and legal counsel to J. Henry Schroeder Bank, the Warburg-controlled Hamburg bank that financed Adolf Hitler.
Dallas oil king Clint Murchison bought two paper mills in Honduras in 1954 from Bush golfing buddy Walt Mischer. Both had ties to the Marcello mob family in New Orleans. Kennedy assassin/Watergate plumber Howard Hunt, with help from Nicaraguan dictator Somoza, trained a Honduran-based militia to attack Arbenz. Frank Wisner, CIA Deputy Director of Plans, oversaw the operation.
United Fruit was the creation of Joseph Macheca, the New Orleans mob boss who preceded Marcello. Macheca was grand wizard of that city’s Ku Klux Klan. Both he and business partner Charles Matrenga wereprotégés of Italian mafia founder and 33rd Degree Grand Master of P-2 Scottish Rite Freemasonry Guiseppe Mazzini.
The word “mafia” is an acronym for “Mazzini authorizes furti (theft), incendi (arson) and avvelenamenti(kidnapping)”. Mazzini answered directly to British Freemason Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. He sent Macheca and Matrenga to New Orleans to start United Fruit. August Belmont, the Rothschild family US business agent, worked with Macheca to corrupt Louisiana politics.
United Fruit’s omnipresence in Central America gave rise to the phrase “banana republics”. It first changed its name to United Brands (UB) and owned Chiquita bananas, John Morrell meats and A&W Restaurants.
The DEA estimated that 20% of all cocaine reaching the US during the 1970’s came in on UB banana boats at Baltimore Harbor. Its plantations cover nearly the entire Caribbean halves of Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Chevron Texaco owns all the gas stations in this region. The oil giant’s 1991 annual report brags that it owns 26% of all retail gas stations in the entire Caribbean. The Bush family owns much of the land on the Caribbean coast in Panama. According to a Dallas DEA official, in 1991 Texaco’s CEO was that city’s cocaine kingpin, using offshore oil platforms to import Columbian coke. Chevron Texaco recently opened a “blending facility” in Shanghai, China.
The DEA estimated that 20% of all cocaine reaching the US during the 1970’s came in on United Brands banana boats at Baltimore Harbor.
UB is 45.4%-owned by Cincinnati-based financial mogul Carl Lindner, close friend of George Bush Sr. and one of his largest campaign contributors. Bush vacations at Lindner’s Key Largo Ocean Reef Club, which houses the landing strip used by CIA gun runner Jack Devoe as drop zone for cocaine. When President Reagan created his Presidential Commission on Central America in 1983, the Henry Kissinger-led group met at the Ocean Reef Club. In 1988 the state of Florida filed a complaint under RICO organized crime statutes against Ocean Reef. One entry in Oliver North’s diaries talks of a UB grant to John Singlaub buddy Major Andy Messing.
Lindner owned Penn Central before that bank went down in a fog of scandal. Walt Mischer sold Marathon Manufacturing to Lindner, whose American Financial Insurance conglomerate controls numerous transportation outlets that presumably move UB cocaine, including Rapid-American Corporation and Reliance Corporation. Lindner owns an 8% share of Gulf & Western Corporation, where Carter Secretary of State Cyrus Vance sits on the board. Gulf & Western is a leader in raw sugar refining, a process identical to the process used to turn opium into heroin.
Lindner sold Lincoln S&L to Charles Keating, who did business deals with Rothschild representative and BCCI Geneva operator Alfred Hartman. The Arizona Republic reported that Keating’s corporate jets, along with those of Resorts International, are frequently use by Arizona Senator John McCain. McCain married Cindy Hensley, daughter of liquor magnate James Hensley, who is an associate of Arizona mobster Kemper Marley.
Lindner’s partner in UB was Detroit mob boss Max Fischer, who was put on the UB board by Donald Gant of Goldman Sachs. Another UB board member was Carter Panama Canal negotiator Sol Linowitz who, along with Cyrus Vance, was on the board at Pan Am. UB’s corporate headquarters was in New York’s Pan Am building.
Max Fischer owns Airborne Freight with the Jacobs family of Buffalo, whose Sportsystems operates twenty horse racing tracks in the US and Canada. It runs food concessions at forty horse tracks, ten greyhound tracks, twenty-four Major League Baseball stadiums and Boston Garden. Jacobs own the Boston Bruins hockey team, an Alaska-Seattle shipping fleet, fifteen airport concessions, Florida jai alai stadiums and, most interestingly, food
service concessions on Gulf of Mexico oil platforms.
The Jacobs’ Letheby & Christopher caters all events where European Black Nobility are present. The Jacobs’ Emprise conglomerate got its start in Buffalo in 1916 as the Canadian Bronfman family’s aptly-named Pure Drug Company US partner. Max Fischer’s headquarters in downtown Detroit is owned by the Bronfmans.
Both Buffalo and Detroit sit on the US-Canadian border, convenient for the smuggling of HSBC-financed heroin from Vancouver to the US East Coast. HSBC has a huge presence in both cities. When Arizona Republicreporter Don Bolles’ findings forced Kemper Marley to resign from that state’s racing commission, Bolles was murdered. One of the final words he uttered was, “Emprise”.
The Bronfmans control Eagle Star Insurance along with the huge Canadian and British banks that facilitate the Silver Triangle drug trade. They own DuPont, Seagrams, (they got their start bootlegging whiskey during Prohibition), Vivendi, the Toronto Jockey Club and (until its demise) the Montreal Expos baseball club. The name Bronfman in Yiddish translates “whiskey man”. These staunch Zionists are involved in much Mossad/MI6 skullduggery.
Fischer and Jacobs’ Airborne Freight owns Midwest Express, which has an exclusive contract with the Federal Reserve to ship canceled checks, an operation which enjoys immunity from US Customs. Chase Manhattan Executive Vice-President James Carey sits on Airborne Freight’s board. Max Fischer owns Detroit shopping malls, Fruehauf Trucking and Marathon Oil. He used to work at Britain’s largest merchant bank- Hambros- where SOE Colonel & Kennedy assassin Louis Mortimer Bloomfield worked.
Fischer delivered Meyer Lansky funds and smuggled oil to the terroristHaganah which seized Palestinian land to create Israel. In 1957 he was rewarded by the Rothschilds for his efforts when the family cut him into both Paz Oil and Paz Chemical, which hold a monopoly over the Israeli oil industry.
Fischer, like Bloomfield, is a member of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, the secret society that answers to Queen Elizabeth II. Bloomfield is chair of the Red Cross Ambulance Service, an intelligence arm of the British monarchy. The Red Cross shares names with the Rosicrucian secret society founded in 1188 by Jean de Gisors, a vassal of British King Henry II and the first Grand Master of the Order of Sion.
The Rosicrucians expanded under German Emperor Charlemagne. Their name glorifies the blood-covered cross on which anti-Illuminati rebel Jesus Christ was hung. The Knights Templar emblem is also the Red Cross. The Rothschilds use the Red Cross as family symbol. Their family name translates “red shield”.
The CIA overthrew Jacobo Arbenz and replaced him with a dictatorship led by General Castillo Armas, the first in a series of brutal military governments beholden to UB and its cocaine syndicate. The generals ruled Guatemala for an eerie 33 years while Arbenz loyalists fought a guerrilla war against the various juntas from thealtiplano provinces bordering Mexico. Their UNRG ranks consisted of Qechua, Ketchikel and Mam Indians, who make up the majority of Guatemala’s population.
To counter the rebels the CIA worked closely with Israeli Mossad and Taiwanese advisers in creating “model villages”, patterned after the strategic hamlets which were employed during the Vietnam War. Part of the program was Guatemalan President Efrain Rios Montt‘s 1980’s Beans for Rifles effort, though which highland villagers received food via the USAID in containers displaying US flags and pro-US slogans.
In return, the villagers were expected to take up arms against the Guatemala rebels. USAID funded the construction of roads into rebel-held areas in Alta Verapaz province, enabling the Guatemalan Army to reach remote villages where it interrogated, tortured and killed over 100,000 Guatemalan Indians who refused to demur to CIA counterinsurgency efforts during the 1980’s and 1990’s. The Guatemalan military spawned right-wing death squads who ran Columbian cocaine north, utilizing export processing zones run by US multinationals like Chiquita.
On September 14, 1996 Guatemalan police captured the head of the largest of these narco death squads – Alfredo Moreno Molina. Moreno started talking and Guatemalan oligarchy, which owns 85% of the country’s arable land, began to tremble.
Among Moreno’s cohorts were President Efrain Rios Montt who claimed to be an Evangelical Christian, ex-Presidential candidates Alfonso Portilla and Zury Rios and scores of right-wing Congressmen from Frente Republicano Guatemalteco. In early 1997 as UNRG rebels were signing an historic peace accord with the government, the Guatemala periodical Ameroteca published a series of articles implicating the CIA in Moreno’s death squad and drug trafficking activities.
Moreno’s ring included the Vice Minister of Defense, Captain of Navy, Inspector General of the Guardia de Haciendas, Inspector General of the National Police, Joint Guardia/Police Operations Officer, Chief of Motorized Police, Director General of Customs and many generals, colonels, customs officials and police chiefs.
The Guatemalan military spawned right-wing death squads who ran Columbian cocaine north, utilizing export processing zones run by US multinationals like Chiquita.
These same death squads presided over a rash of kidnappings that engulfed Guatemala during the mid-1990’s. The three high-ranking generals who oversaw the kidnapping ring were Luis Ortega, Manuel Callejas and Edgar Godoy. The ring was so powerful and included so many Guatemalan officials that it would never have been exposed had the UNRG rebels not spilled the beans during peace talks. Indictments were slow to come, with oligarch Attorney General Hector Perez working to stall the investigation.
The CIA and Mossad presided over death squads and massacres, training the Guatemalan military in the finer arts of terrorism. They recruited mercenaries at US Army Sergeant Barry Sadler’s Europa bar in Guatemala City, a spook den where British and Israeli commandos mingled with Argentine and Chilean mercenaries and Guatemalan death squad leaders. Prostitution and gambling were rife.
The Guatemalan genocide only gained media attention when US citizens became targets of the death squads. In March 1995, Sen. Robert Torricelli (D-NJ) announced that a US hotel owner living in Guatemala named Michael Devine was killed by a right-wing death squad directed by a Guatemalan Colonel on CIA payroll. Devine ran a guest house near Poptun in eastern Guatemala. In 1990 his wife opened the door to find a paper bag containing her husband’s head. Julio Roberto Alpirez, the CIA goon who ordered Devine’s brutal murder, also oversaw the murder of Efrain Bamaca, a UNRG rebel commander.
Bamaca’s wife, US lawyer Jennifer Harbury, staged hunger strikes in both Washington and Guatemala City to protest the lack of cooperation by both governments in investigating her husband’s death. The CIA knew about the killing as soon as it happened, but failed to even contact Harbury. Joining her hunger strike was Sister Diana Ortiz, an Ursuline nun from New Mexico who was repeatedly raped and tortured with cigarette butts by a Guatemalan death squad in 1989. Ortiz says the person overseeing her ordeal was a man named Alejandro whom she thinks was an American.
After Torricelli made his allegations an NSA staffer sent him a note stating that NSC and the US Army had been directly involved in both Devine and Bamaca assassinations, as advisers to an elite G-2 secret unit within the Guatemalan military.
Guatemalan scholar Alan Nairn says the CIA worked closely with G-2, whose primary mission was the elimination of political opposition through death squads. After news of Devine’s death surfaced, Congress cut off military aid to Guatemala, but the CIA secretly retained a $5 million annual budget for Guatemalan operations. Army Colonel Julio Alpirez was paid $44,000 by the CIA after the Company knew he was involved in Devine’s death.
Torricelli said the American people were about to hear things about their own intelligence agencies that would horrify them. Even Senator Arlen Spector, the Warren Commission lackey, was forced to admit that the CIA had withheld information from Torricelli’s investigation.
President Clinton was so shocked by the revelations that he sent FBI agents to the NSA to investigate Torricelli’s allegations. NSA was now busy shredding documents regarding Guatemala. It was the first time in US history that a president used the FBI to investigate NSA.
In June 1996 the Senate Intelligence Oversight Board released a 53-page document which stated, “Several CIA agents were credibly alleged to have ordered, planned or participated in serious human rights violations such as assassinations, extra-judicial executions, torture or kidnapping…the CIA was contemporaneously aware of many of the allegations”. Torricelli was later subject to a phony political scandal which forced him to abandon his 2002 bid for re-election.

The Banana Republic of Honduras
The CIA worked hand in hand with United Brands (UB) throughout Central America. In 1932 when Salvadoran peasants revolted against dismal working conditions on UB banana plantations, the company backed a military massacre which left 300,000 dead and is remembered as La Matanza.
In 1947 UB sponsored a CIA putsch which brought Robert Vesco buddy Jose “Pepe” Figueres to power in Costa Rica. By 1954 the CIA attempted to overthrow the increasingly nationalist Figueres. UB supported the Somozas in Nicaragua who helped organize the Arbenz coup. Haganah gun-runner Yehuda Arazi became Israel’s Ambassador to Nicaragua on a recommendation from UB. UB executive Francisco Urcyo attempted to lead an interim government as Sandinistas marched into Managua.
But no Central American government has been more influenced by UB than Honduras, a country that truly exemplifies the term “banana republic”. In 1975 UB chairman Eli Black plunged forty-four floors to his death after crashing through a window in his Pan Am office building in New York. An SEC investigation that followed revealed that UB virtually ran the country of Honduras, bribing public officials and fixing elections.
In 1978 General Policarpo Paz, head of the Honduran Armed Forces, led a military coup supported by Tegucigalpa Police Chief Amilcar Zelaya. Both were implicated by the Honduran press in drug trafficking and bribery scandals involving United Brands. Paz Garcia was co-owner of a ranch near Tegucigalpa with Honduran mafia kingpin Ramon Matta Ballesteros.
The head of Honduran Interpol Juan Barahona was arrested on slander charges when he accused top-ranking Honduran generals of connections to Ballesteros’ mob, which turned Honduras into a transshipment point for Columbian coke. Ballesteros delivered arms to the contras for the Enterprise. Later he was killed by Raphael Quintero to protect the Sicilia-Falcon CIA drug ring in Mexico.
In 1979 Vernon Walters organized Somocistas in Tegucigalpa into the contras. The US built additional military bases in Honduras and the CIA launched, equipped and trained Battalion 316 of the Honduran Army, a death squad unleashed upon Hondurans who protested the US military buildup in their country.
Commander of the Honduran Armed Forces General Gustavo Alvarez led the Battalion 316 terror campaign. Over 10,000 Hondurans were killed during the 1980’s. Thousands more were disappeared and tortured. Victims were interrogated on US military bases. CIA agents assisted in Battalion 316 kidnappings. Ines Murillo testified that a CIA agent was present when she was tortured using electrical shocks and water.
Alvarez was a close friend of CIA Honduran Station Chief Donald Winters and of former US Ambassador to Honduras John Negroponte. Alvarez is godfather of Winters’ adopted daughter. In 1983 President Reagan presented Alvarez with a Medal of Honor.

In November 2002 Negroponte had been US Ambassador to the United Nations, where he lobbied the Security Council unsuccessfully for passage of yet another resolution endorsing a US invasion of Iraq. On April 21, 2005 Negroponte was sworn in as the first US Director of National Intelligence.
The US Embassy in Tegucigalpa is in the same building as the Murchsion family-owned and CIA-frequented Intercontinental Hotel. United Brands recently changed its name to Chiquita Brands International. In March 2002, Carl Lindner’s ever-upstanding Chiquita took its shareholders for a ride when it declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The bodyguard of the ousted Tunisian President Zen El Abedeen Ben Ali has said that Ben Ali and his wife Laila El Trabolsi are supporters of Israel. Abdel Rahman Sobeir also claims that El Trabolsi is a Mossad agent who was involved in several assassinations of Palestinian leaders when they were exiled in Tunisia.
Mr Sobeir revealed this sensitive information on Facebook; he accused Tunisia’s ex-First Couple and their son-in-law Selim Shaiboub, along with a number of senior security chiefs, of criminal activity. According to reports in the Algerian newspaper Al Shorouk, in 1991 Laila Ben Ali recruited two agents in the Tunisian intelligence services to assassinate a Tunisian businessman who was a close friend of Ben Ali but had opposed her marriage to the ousted president.
“Ben Ali’s son-in-law was behind the death of a four-year-old girl in the Radeif area in 1992, an act proved by state security investigators,” claims Sobeir. He added that there are many more treasures in the Carthage Palace than have been disclosed. The treasures include gold and sapphire decorations brought together by Leila and her brother Belhasan.

“The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US . . .” – Pierre-Henri Bunel
“Ana raicha Al Qaeda” is colloquial for “I’m going to the toilet”. A very common and widespread use of the word “Al-Qaeda” in different Arab countries in the public language is for the toilet bowl. This name comes from the Arabic verb “Qa’ada” which mean “to sit”, pertinently, on the “Toilet Bowl”. In most Arabs homes there are two kinds of toilets: “Al-Qaeda” also called the “Hamam Franji” or foreign toilet, and “Hamam Arabi” or “Arab toilet” which is a hole in the ground. Lest we forget it, the potty used by small children is called “Ma Qa’adia” or “Little Qaeda”.
So, if you were forming a terrorist group, would you call yourself, “The Toilet”?

On any given day, log on to RevolutionMuslim.com and a host of startling images appear:
- The Statue of Liberty, with an ax blade cutting through her side;
- Video mocking the beheading of American journalist Daniel Pearl, entitled “Daniel Pearl I am Happy Your Dead :) “;
- Video of a puppet show lampooning U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq;
- The latest speech from Sheikh Abdullah Faisal, an extremist Muslim cleric convicted in the UK and later deported for soliciting the murder of non-Muslims.
Even more surprising is that RevolutionMuslim.com isn’t being maintained in some remote safe house in Pakistan. Instead, Yousef al-Khattab, the Web site creator, runs it from his home in the New York City Borough of Queens.
Formerly known as Joseph Cohen, al-Khattab is an American-born Jew who converted to Islam after attending an Orthodox Rabbinical school, which he later described as a “racist cult.”
Abu Tallah Al-Amrikee, the “muslim” who threatened South Park using the above RevolutionMuslim.com website, is really named Zachary Adam Chesser!
Al-Qaeda cleric exposed as an MI5 double agent
|ONE of al-Qaeda’s most dangerous figures has been revealed as a double agent working for MI5, raising criticism from European governments, which repeatedly called for his arrest.Britain ignored warnings – which began before the September 11 attacks – from half a dozen friendly governments about Abu Qatada’s links with terrorist groups and refused to arrest him. Intelligence chiefs hid from European allies their intention to use the cleric as a key informer against Islamic militants in Britain.
Indignant French officials accused MI5 of helping the cleric to abscond. While he remained on the run, one intelligence chief in Paris was quoted as saying: “British intelligence is saying they have no idea where he is, but we know where he is and, if we know, I’m quite sure they do.”

The FBI lists Gadahn’s aliases as Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki, Abu Suhayb, Yihya Majadin Adams, Adam Pearlman, and Yayah. But Adam Pearlmen is his REAL name! Adam is the grandson of the late Carl K. Pearlman; a prominent Jewish urologist in Orange County. Carl was also a member of the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League, which was caught spying on Americans for Israel in 1993, much as AIPAC has been caught up in the more recent spy scandal.
3. We have israel posing as alqueda in the phillipines.
The two British operatives, arrested by Basra police and later freed by a British military operation, were identified by the BBC as “members of the SAS elite special forces” (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/424614.stm). They were disguised by wigs and Arab dress. Iraqi sources reported that the Iraqi police were watching the two, and when they tried to approach them they shot two policemen and tried to escape the scene. The Iraqi police chased and captured them, to discover large amount of explosives planted in the car, which apparently was planned to be remotely detonated in the busy market of Basra. The SAS involvement in Iraq was discovered on the 30th of January 2005 when an RAF Hercules plane crashed near Baghdad killing then British servicemen after dropping off fifty SAS members north of Baghdad to fight Iraqi guerillas.

There was a time when the very mention of Mossad, Israel’s premier spy agency, sent shivers through its friends and enemies alike. It had an almost mythical status and its highly trained assassins were the stuff of Hollywood legend. Mossad agents, both men and women, would be parachuted into a country or would arrive on its coastline from a submarine or fishing trawler. Teams providing technical back-up and other logistical support, including vehicles and escape routes, would already be in place.
Kidon, as the agency’s assassins were known, would use guns, knives, chemical weapons or secret means of assassination, which left few forensic traces. They even knew how to conceal a bomb in a target’s phone and activate it with a phone call.
Mossad spies also had a legendary status. Some were sleeper agents for decades, living a lie in other communities and waiting for a phone call or coded letter to activate them.
It has therefore come as a shock to the Israeli public and spy watchers across the globe that Mossad is showing signs it is no longer the invincible agency it was once cracked up to be.
A former British intelligence officer, who spoke to AMERICAN FREE PRESS on condition of anonymity, felt Mossad had fallen into the trap of thinking it was so superior to its enemies that it did not need to worry about them. In this officer’s view, it failed to recognize that Israel has fewer friends across the globe and therefore the Mossad’s mistakes, which might have been glossed over in the past, are now more likely to make headlines.
“Mossad was never going to maintain the level of success it once had because countries it targeted in the past have improved their intelligence and counter-intelligence capabilities,” he said. “Mossad has taken on more tasks than it can handle with the assets available to it. There is a finite limit to the number of jobs any agency can handle because training agents for work in the field is a costly, time-consuming job and top-class talent is limited. Few people realize that Israel’s growing dependency on the CIA for running ops in the Middle East is a sign of Mossad’s limitations,” the former intelligence officer explained.
The assassination of a Hamas leader in Dubai in 2010 was an operation the former intel officer singled out as an example of Mossad’s decline. The 11-person hit team that carried out the Dubai killing was caught on camera and the agents’ identities were compromised.
So, too, was the way they operated, using fake passports and credit cards supplied by private American financial institutions. The operational base used for the hit was located in Europe, not Israel, but even some of the people who ran it are now known to the German authorities.
The former British spy has this to say about the Dubai hit: “It was a disaster and it did a lot of damage to Mossad. Having those operatives on camera and later on an Interpol wanted list means their training was wasted. They are of no further value in the field. For that to happen was proof, if anybody needed it, that Mossad had become sloppy and overconfident.”
There is now evidence Mossad has recently been dealt an even bigger blow by the exposure of 10 of its spies in Iran, where it has been busy running a dirty war with the direct assistance of the CIA and U.S. Special Operations agencies. One element of this undercover war has been the targeted assassinations and abductions of Iranian scientists and other Iranian nuclear experts.
Some of the Mossad-CIA operatives used in Iran were trained at a joint Mossad-CIA facility within an Israeli base close to Herzliya on the Mediterranean Sea coastline. The base is classified within CIA files as one
of a number of U.S. military-intelligence sites in Israel.
The sites have numbers from 51 through 56. Most of the sites contain military and technical equipment to be used in the event of a war with Iran but the one at Herzliya is also reserved for managing combined CIA Mossad operations aimed at Iran.
The Mossad and the CIA appear to have underestimated their Iranian counterparts because it took just one year for Iran’s internal security apparatus to unmask the spy network, which Iran says was involved in killing one of its scientists. Among the spies seized was a young man who admitted he was trained by the Mossad in electronic surveillance and counter surveillance, as well as in techniques for attaching bombs to cars.
Israel did not deny Iran’s claims about the spy network. In the past year, Iranian intelligence has also captured and executed leaders and senior fighters of the Jundallah terror network, which has been used by America and Israel against Iran. [See AFP issue 1/2, 2011 for more.—Ed.]
Much to the displeasure of Mossad and the CIA, Pakistan has begun handing over Jundallah fighters it has captured to the Iranian military, as well.

“There is a list, the Bush administration’s “working group” that green-lighted 9/11. Of the five names on it, three are Jews. “
Last week, responding to a deluge of news reports tying Israel to Wikileaks, Julian Assange announced he finally planned to release 3700 cables from the US Embassy in Tel Aviv, documents previously withheld from the public. In a press release, Assange said he planned the “dump” in 6 months but didn’t indicate how many other documents involving Israel were being withheld.
Veterans Today has been informed by sources within the ADL that, in coordination with Julian Assange’s announcement, they were “tasked” by the Tel Aviv government to begin operations against journalists and online publications that had let to Wikileaks being discredited as an Israeli intelligence operation. Sources indicate that Tel Aviv values Wikileaks as a vital asset in molding public opinion and providing cover for high risk operations.
ADL’s website is loading up with warnings and attacks, all defending Wikileaks and Julian Assange and attacking news sources that print materials either critical of Julian Assange or citing Israel’s involvement in Wikileak’s agreement to allow material critical of Israel to be censored.
“If we had Wikileaks up to speed, the Goldstone Report would never have been heard of at all. There isn’t anything that can’t be covered up by a Julian Assange scandal. I just hope something doesn’t come up where it gets so serious that Assange will have to be assassinated. He is really a loveable dupe.” (ADL source)
“We know we aren’t going to be able to reach their audience. Our job is to insulate our own base, America’s Jewish population, one increasingly sympathetic to progressive alternative publications. With Israel and President Obama at each others throats and 78% of America’s Jewish population having supported Obama in the presidential election, we could be playing with fire here.” (ADL source)
ISRAEL’S STRATEGY BACKFIRES
It isn’t a very well kept secret that the ADL and AIPAC are agencies of Israeli intelligence. Their litany of transgressions is being dragged into the open by former AIPAC Lobbyist Steve Rosen in his defamation lawsuit against that organization. In 2004, the FBI tried to close AIPAC down for spying, only to see their criminal cases blocked by Bush administration officials.
Now, with the ADL openly going after the press for reporting ties between Julian Assange and Israel and Assange’s agreement to allow Wikileaks to be censored by both Israel and press organizations working with them, has exposed Wikileaks to even more embarrassment.
ADL actions to publicly defend Wikileaks is blowing up in their faces.
“I have no idea what they were thinking back in Tel Aviv. What kind of idiot would try to keep the Wikileaks and Israel thing quiet and then have the ADL run around like maniacs calling people names. The ADL should keep to spray painting swastika’s on synagogues and sending articles to “Stormfront” and leave the thinking to people better equipped, if there still are people like that around….which I am not so sure of.” (ADL source)
9/11, IS THAT THAT WHAT IS BEING HIDDEN?
With 9/11 more and more in the public eye, especially with Fox News and Jesse Ventura’s “Conspiracy Theory” building a powerful case for involvement by the Bush administration in the planning and execution of 9/11 as a “false flag” terror attack, it is likely that Israel feels particularly vulnerable. If a solid tie between Israel and 9/11 is made, Israel will have its first real security problem since 1973.
“I never knew Assange was working for us, not even when he started attacking the 9/11 Truth movement. I really didn’t know for sure until a couple of days ago. As for 9/11, that’s something else. There are a couple of senior guys running around, saying they planned 9/11, not Mossad, military guys. I don’t know if they are bullshitters or not. They say it like this…’Of course, we did it, who else? We don’t care, say whatever you want, who needs to hide anything, we can do whatever we want there’
This is how the put it. I just don’t know what they are saying this or why they are saying it now. What I do know is that this Wikileaks thing, somehow 9/11 may be behind it.
There is a list, the Bush administration’s “working group” that green-lighted 9/11. Of the five names on it, three are Jews. ” (ADL Source)
As our readers know, Sott.net doesn’t always take the easy path, but we do try to take the right path and we don’t like to get egg on our faces. If we think we are right in the face of all opposition, we’ll stick to our guns. By the same token, if we discover we have made an error, we admit and correct it. We don’t like to have to admit and correct errors and so, we try to avoid making them.
There’s an old saying: ‘Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater’ and never was that saying more à propos than the current Wikileaks/Julian Assange situation. This saying is particularly relevant in respect of those who deride Wikileaks and Assange, and point out the many problems that this situation presents to the careful thinker and researcher. And here, we include ourselves at Sott.net to some extent. We have had to sit down and discuss and think about this issue long and hard and the following is the outcome of that reflection.
First of all, Sott.net has friends who have taken positions on both sides of the issue — friends whose opinions we respect and, more than that, we understand them. We have questioned the Assange supporters closely and even they admit that the content of the leaks is certainly not what one would wish. One of them pointed out that diplomatic cables are not likely to contain any real dirty secrets other than the standard duplicity of diplomacy since what diplomats think or know is only what is fed to them by intelligence agencies. All you can learn from diplomatic cables is how they are going about advancing the agendas of their governments — agendas that are operative but cannot be openly declared. In short, noticing that the agenda is to set up Iran for attack, or Pakistan, from diplomatic cables is just what one would expect. As one pundit wrote disparagingly:
“Meanwhile, the organization has certainly discovered the art of over-promising, the latest Cablegate docs being a prime example. If there’s anything scandalous in them, it’s that the US government isn’t evil enough. There’s no talk of toppling foreign governments. No examples of breaking international law. No assassination talk. Nothing. Of course if you didn’t bother to read any details, you’d think there had been some massive breach of America’s dirtiest secrets that ripped the veil off the cloak and dagger world of the US diplomatic corps (of course, US politicians calling Wikileaks a “terrorist” organization only help to blow the docs out of proportion).”
All you are seeing in these cables is naked pathology in action: you can get a good idea about how this works from reading Wikleaks and Imperial Mobilization – The CIA’s “Mighty Wurlitzer”. But, as one of our researchers has pointed out, since we are developing pretty good ideas about how the PTB (Powers That Be) operate through the intelligence community, we would postulate that even the CIA doesn’t know what their own agency does or knows. Compartmentalization is the name of the game. A recent two year study by the Washington Post found that the American national security apparatus is “so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no-one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it, or exactly how many agencies do the same work”. Therefore, it is highly likely that both the diplomatic corps and most of the CIA have no idea to what extent they are used as pawns in a bigger game.
Then, of course, there is what the MSM (mainstream media) is doing with the leaks. Well, are we surprised? This is the same MSM that sold us the lies that led to the Iraq invasion and is owned by the Zionists just as the CIA is owned by the Zionists. (Keep in mind that Zionists do not necessarily represent Jews but certainly do find friendly bedfellows with the Nazi secret services imported into the U.S. under Project Paperclip and whose ideologies — and personalities – became the driving forces for American Secret State policies.)
State Department or diplomatic corps communication leaks are probably not the best place to find much damaging information. Diplomats are used and duped more often than not when the ‘Secret Team’ involves them in their fun and games.
So we can pretty much dismiss the leaked documents themselves and how they are being handled by the MSM as mostly disinformation and propaganda and spin. We can even speculate that no leak ever happens without an agenda behind it, and this batch of leaks is no different. But that doesn’t mean it always has to be that way, and this is where we come to Julian Assange and his vision. At this point, we want to share with you a little bit of the struggles we went through to come to the ideas we’re going to express here. We need to think first about Truth. Allow us to quote a bit from Ernest Gellner’s Anthropology and Politics:
Jean-Paul Sartre’s Huis Clos (No Way Out) is an account of a triangular situation in which three characters are so related to each other that each one of them can both thwart another and yet is also doomed to be thwarted. A kind of three-pronged stalemate is the consequence. Not one of the participants can break out of the situation, but none is allowed even to attain the peace of resignation. They are doomed to torment and be tormented. It is in this kind of context that Sartre comes to make the celebrated observation that hell is other people.
When it comes to the modern attitude to truth, it does seem that the contemporary situation is triangular, somewhat in this manner.
There are three principal contestants, roughly equidistant from each other. No single one is able to secure a really convincing ascendancy over the others, and liberate himself from the self-image-corroding taunts of at least one other member of the triad. It is all a little like the children’s game of scissors, paper, stone: scissors cut paper, paper covers stone, stone blunts scissors.
Gellner goes on to describe his three way stalemate as occurring between Relativists, Fundamentalists, and “Enlightenment Puritans”. In his book, Postmodernism, Reason and Religion he describes the latter as Enlightened Rationalist Fundamentalists which we will refer to as ERFs.
The Relativists reject the very idea of Truth since everything is relative to the observer, so to say. They actually believe in “belief” itself, devoid of content. They are against the idea of revealed truth that is singular and all-encompassing, but rather advocate the validity of all “truths” and points of view. The pursuit of any transcending truth is damned in their eyes. Anyone who disputes them is in peril of being damned for a colonialist, patriarchalist, or imperialist. Unfortunately, they become very “fundamentalist” about this — their Relativism is the Truth – which leads us, of course, to the Fundamentalists.
The Fundamentalists promote the Truth, but it is revealed truth from their god and, since they come in different flavors, there are different gods and different revealed truths, each adhered to by the given Fundamentalist with a death grip that can mean death for many others who do not subscribe to their particular beliefs.
The thing is, the Fundamentalists have a point against the Relativists: the Relativists position is not serious or consistent, nor is it capable of endowing anyone with genuine moral convictions. Our world is, indeed, a plural one, but it is based on the uniqueness of Truth as a value, something to be sought, not something to be claimed as “owned.” This brings us to the Enlightenment/Rationalist Fundamentalists.
The Enlightened Rationalist Fundamentalist (ERF) is one who thinks that Science (selecting that option with the highest probability based on observation and experiment as opposed to considering all options as equally valid via belief) is the cognitive path toward Truth and, at the same time, is convinced by the path of reason that Truth — with a capital T — does exist even if we aren’t there yet. The Enlightened Rationalist is convinced that Truth, as the ideal, can be unique and is definitely important which is the Fundamentalist view. However, the ERF is more careful and fastidious in identifying the truth that deserves respect (i.e. selecting the probability).
The ERF is not interested or tempted by the solipsistic relativistic position though he appreciates the tolerance that it recommends (at least in theory) because that tolerance is at the basis of making many observations and experiments before arriving at a conclusion about probabilities. The ERF, while sharing with the Fundamentalist the idea that the ideal of Truth is real and to be striven for, rejects the idea that he possesses it or that he even can possess it. He only knows that there are procedures for investigating the world that have positive and beneficial results: all ideas, data, inquirers are equal at the beginning and all cognitive claims must collect and analyze data on terms of equality, and no circular, self-confirming visions are allowed, but in the end, there is a conclusion that, at least until new data contradicts it, trumps all other visions. You could say that the ERF has a religious nature divorced from blind belief and that this inspires him or her to orderly conduct for its own sake.
Unfortunately, the ERF lives in a world that is too abstract to appeal to the average person — to the masses — and it is definitely not a cognitive style that sustains one emotionally in crisis. The idea that even-handed handling of evidence, careful collection of data and even more careful analysis, leads to a correct understanding of the world around us while admitting that it is only a process and our understanding today may change with the addition of new data, isn’t much to warm the heart of those ruled by passion, nor does it provide clear rules for behaving with dignity in difficult or tragic situations. Most people can’t live in a state of ambiguity.
In short: “The Fundamentalist and the [ERF] share a sense of and respect for the uniqueness of truth; the [ERF] and the Relativist share a penchant for tolerance; and the Relativist and the Fundamentalist share a reasonably well furnished, habitable world, as opposed to the arid emptiness of the ambiguous world of the ERF. The Relativist even has access to a whole set of exotic worlds which are at the same time discreetly connected to all modern conveniences.” (Gellner)
So, if you take the above discussion about different, fundamental ways to view Truth and the pursuit of same, and add in psychopathology, well, you can see how difficult this situation with Wikileaks and Julian Assange can be for different people. Any one of the three main positions can be degraded by pathological cognition.
So, taking all the data and observations into consideration, what comes out as the most likely probability? (By the very fact that we are analyzing this problem this way reveals our own position as very close to that of the ERF crowd.)
Okay, let’s deal with the fact that Julian Assange doesn’t seem to be the brightest light bulb in the pack when it comes to analyzing raw data. As one highly respected and well-known 9-11 researcher of the ERF ilk wrote to us yesterday:
Just the fact Assange refers to 9/11 truth as “nonsense” says it all, I think. The guy simply is too smart not to have figured it out soon after it happened. His “leaks” are carefully crafted to a) keep the public focus away from the growing awareness of the 9/11 coverup, and b) to work on the sheeple, subliminally, with the logic, “If there were anything at all to 9/11, these guys would have surely blown the lid.”
Let’s face it: 9/11 Truth would be the ultimate leak. Ergo, people are being led to believe that if “hundreds of thousands of documents” contain not a shred of evidence of 9/11 being an inside job, all truthers must be nutters.
9/11 is everything. In the grand scheme of things, nothing else really matters. Expose 9/11, and the whole house of cards instantly crumbles.
While we agree that the Truth about 9-11 (not manipulated diplomatic correspondence about it) is everything in terms of the Ultimate Leak, we don’t agree that Assange should be required to be a 9-11 Truther or a data analyst to be an activist for Truth and Transparency in government.
On the one hand, many people are being put in an impossible situation. If you come out in support of Assange, are you supporting the lies in the leaks, the drive to war, etc? That’s how it feels to many people. But on the other hand, if you don’t support him, you are basically acting against the principles of free speech, transparency in government, the “little guy” against the Fascist behemoth, and are supporting the destruction of all our freedoms.
Regarding Assange, personally, knowing what we know about spin, it’s very hard to tell when the MSM is putting words in his mouth or not reporting exactly what he says, or does and the context. On the other hand, with Wikileaks itself, and his “representatives,” he does seem to have ample outlets for getting his thoughts and ideas across in the event the MSM is misrepresenting him. That being said, the result of the play of these elements is that he is not terribly attractive as a spokesperson.
Nevertheless, it’s pretty clear that the Swedish prosecution is a cooked up load of harassment and he deserves protection from that nonsense, but on the other hand, Assange does come across as pretty crass and that turns off both the Fundamentalists and the Enlightened Rationalist Fundamentalists! He is, in their eyes, neither morally upright nor fastidious in his handling of data.
The thing is, the idea of Wikileaks is great in principle and that’s what makes this so darned difficult: Assange is the spokesperson for an idea whose time has come, but the leaked material he is representing is not worth dying for. In short, Assange and the propaganda within the leaks are the bathwater, the public right to expose government corruption is the baby.
So the point is this: the principle is worth everything to all of us, here and now. As John Naughton wrote in the Guardian yesterday:
[Wikileaks] represents the first really sustained confrontation between the established order and the culture of the internet. There have been skirmishes before, but this is the real thing. …
What Wikileaks is really exposing is the extent to which the western democratic system has been hollowed out. In the last decade its political elites have been shown to be incompetent (Ireland, the US and UK in not regulating banks); corrupt (all governments in relation to the arms trade); or recklessly militaristic (the US and UK in Iraq). And yet nowhere have they been called to account in any effective way. Instead they have obfuscated, lied or blustered their way through. And when, finally, the veil of secrecy is lifted, their reflex reaction is to kill the messenger.
“Disclosure is messy and tests moral and legal boundaries. It is often irresponsible and usually embarrassing. But it is all that is left when regulation does nothing, politicians are cowed, lawyers fall silent and audit is polluted. Accountability can only default to disclosure.” What we are hearing from the enraged officialdom of our democracies is mostly the petulant screaming of emperors whose clothes have been shredded by the net.
Which brings us back to the larger significance of this controversy. The political elites of western democracies have discovered that the internet can be a thorn not just in the side of authoritarian regimes, but in their sides too. It has been comical watching them and their agencies stomp about the net like maddened, half-blind giants trying to whack a mole. It has been deeply worrying to watch terrified internet companies — with the exception of Twitter, so far — bending to their will.
But politicians now face an agonising dilemma. The old, mole-whacking approach won’t work. Wikileaks does not depend only on web technology. Thousands of copies of those secret cables — and probably of much else besides — are out there, distributed by peer-to-peer technologies like BitTorrent. Our rulers have a choice to make: either they learn to live in a Wikileakable world, with all that implies in terms of their future behaviour; or they shut down the internet.
Yeah, somebody leaked some low-level diplomatic cables full of chaff and the MSM is having a field day, but it is how we respond to the act of leaking and the one who has the courage to stand up to the Fascists that will determine if anyone is going to be courageous enough in the future to leak something that really matters. We don’t have to like or agree with what has been leaked, we don’t have to like or agree with Julian as a person, but we must defend Julian and activists and hacktivists, or we are doomed.
Yes, it’s possible that the whole thing was set up with no single way out for anyone or maybe it just happened that way because different people have different cognitive styles. Either way, we cannot allow it to further divide those who seek truth and Truth. It’s a certainty that no one else has stepped up to the plate and put themselves on the line as Julian Assange has. Maybe he’s mad, and maybe it takes somebody who is a little mad to demonstrate that kind of courage. That doesn’t matter right now. The world is rapidly descending into a different, more dangerous madness and if it takes a Vendetta to start the pendulum swinging in the other direction, so be it.
Because, in the end, it is the principle that the people are entitled to the Truth that matters and that is what is at stake here.
FARS News Agency
December 1, 2010
A former Pakistani army commander said that the disclosure of classified documents by the whistleblower site of Wikileaks is a US plot to create rift among friendly and neighboring states.
“The US has a hand in this plot, and these reports (posted by the WikiLeaks website) are part of the US psychological warfare,” former Chief of the Staff of the Pakistani Army General Mirza Aslam Beg told FNA in Islamabad on Tuesday.
He stated that the US could prevent the leak of information if it wanted to do so, and warned that the real plot and conspiracy pursued by these reports will be unraveled in future.
Aslam Beg further reiterated that the CIA and Israel’s spy agency Mossad have launched efforts to weaken and destabilize Pakistan, and WikiLeaks reports are part of these efforts.
The remarks by the Pakistani figure came after US embassy cables posted by WikiLeaks website sparked hot reactions in the region.
In one cable, the WikiLeaks claimed, Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah, a close ally of Pakistan, reportedly called Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari the main cause of his country’s woes.
Pakistani President’s office responded on Monday that the leaks were “no more than an attempt to create misperceptions between two important and brotherly Muslim countries”.
An attack on American forces in the Persian Gulf is being planned. Wikileaks is an integral part of the operation. Step one was the current “diplomatic” Wikileak. Step two, the brazen “Mossad style”murders in Iran.
Wikileaks couldn’t be more involved if they built the bombs or fired the missiles themselves.
When America is attacked, either in the Persian Gulf or at home, Wikileaks will be a part of it. The operation is staged for the Persian Gulf where American warships are “sitting ducks” for a sneak attack like the USS Liberty “incident.”
As with the Liberty attack, Israel can use friends in high places in the United States to assure that if they are blamed, they can claim it was an honest mistake, even if an American super-carrier goes down with all hands.
The preferred weapon will be submarine launched missiles, probably with small nuclear warheads, that will appear to be launched from Iran. Israeli submarines are currently on station within range of American targets, subs known to be armed with cruise type missiles similar to those used by Iran. The attacks on US forces are dependent on the build-up of tensions tied to terror bombings that have killed one Iranian scientist and wounded another.
A “working group” within the American military is tasked with placing the blame on Iran with “in the can” intelligence much as was used on 9/11. The same forces responsible for planning the Building 7 demolition on 9/11 are being called upon.
Iran is being “set up” through terrorist attacks timed to make any military action in the region immediately look like Iran “out of control.” More attacks on scientists and their families are planned until international tensions are high enough for a “false flag” terror attack on the United States to seem plausible.
Key media assets have been warning that a major story can be expected.
It will be claimed Iran attacked the United States in retaliation for terrorist acts Iran now blames on Israel and the United States. In truth, these acts are meant to be intentional provocations, but it is clearly understood that Iran is incapable of acting. Russia has never delivered the advanced air defense system Iran needs and with virtually no air force, Iran is incapable of resisting an American onslaught.
A Signature Mossad Operation
The attacks have killed one scientist and wounded another. The wives of both men were wounded. Israel has done everything but announce that it planned and executed these attacks and is planning more. Iran is being dared to respond but, in fact, no response by Iran will be necessary. Sources tell us that an act of war against the United States, one which can be blamed on Iran, is in the planning.
The attacks inside Iran are staged from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and Baluchistan, a remote province of Pakistan. Each of these nations has surrendered control of border regions with Iran to intelligence agencies, including the CIA, Mossad and MI-6. All have separatist movements with ties to Israel and India.
The Baloch separatist group, Jundullah, funded by the CIA and operated by the Mossad, acts for Israel much as Hizbollah acts for Iran in Lebanon. Regular terror attacks inside Iran are staged, not only military targets but mosque bombings and assassinations. Jundullah, the PKK in Turkey and Kurdistan, the Tehrik-i-Taliban in Pakistan, all are operated by Israel as surrogates, attacking Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and sometimes American forces as well.
There is now little doubt that Wikileaks is an intelligence operation managed from Tel Aviv, carrying out Israeli foreign policy. The most recent “leaks” have successfully reset the diplomatic stage in the Middle East, exposing undercurrents of animosity against Iran while destroying American diplomatic credibility.
Were a crisis in the region to arise, and one is already in motion thanks to the Israeli terrorists openly operating inside Iran, the United States would now be hamstrung in attempts to foster a regional settlement. Nobody is talking, not anymore, not when anything said will be in the newspapers and nobody is trusting the United States. President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have been exposed as highly suspicious of Gulf region allies.
As clear as it was, from the outset, that Wikileaks is an intelligence operation of Israel, making use of their extensive network within the Departments of Defense and State, staffed by hundreds of “dual citizens,” it is really the powerful Israeli lobby, AIPAC, that makes it all possible.
Aipac spying Accusations
Former AIPAC lobbyist, Steve Rosen, an employee we have been informed was fired, not for spying against the United States but being “caught,” is suing the organization for defamation. He claims to have extensive files outlining spy operations by AIPAC that penetrate every aspect of America’s national security, information he claims the FBI has had all along, has had but has ignored.
Rosen claims, in a sense, that AIPAC is a spy organization.
AIPAC, the single most powerful organization in American politics, no member of congress, no president has ever held office without their blessing, has long been reputed to be a foreign lobby. However, loopholes created specifically for AIPAC allow it to circumvent all regulations that help protect America from foreign influences.
Now it is believed that the information Rosen is referring to is actually Wikileaks itself and that AIPAC is, in fact, Wikileaks.
One question that is never asked in the United States is how many American believe 9/11 was not what it seemed. After ABC’s Jon Faine attacked Kevin Bracken, a popular Australian labor leader, a poll with over 10,000 respondents showed 77% support for a 9/11 conspiracy. Though Bracken never accused Israel, Jon Faine was clear. Faine believed that, if 9/11 was a “false flag” that Israel would be blamed.
Though it isn’t clear how many Americans support one of the several 9/11 conspiracies, with or without Israel’s involvement, one thing is clear. When a suspected terrorist is arrested and a terrorist plot is uncovered, Americans seem unconcerned and millions are clearly skeptical. The current car bomb threat in Portland, Oregon is one such incident. There is no news followup, no internet chatter, nothing on “talk radio.” Most Americans assume the FBI invented the whole thing. Though this is probably not true, it is far easier to convince the average American the FBI has “gone bad” than of terrorist plotters.
A decade of phony alerts, airport hassles and outright lies have worn Americans out on terrorism. If asked, Americans would say, “bring it on.” However, it is because they fear real terrorists much less than their own political leaders, both former and current.
“Plans For “Wiki-War”
The geopolitical goals of a “Wiki-War” are potentially unlimited. The China-Iran-Pakistan axis, one that really doesn’t yet exist, could be preempted. Turkey can be isolated from its Islamic neighbors and intimidated. More likely, Israeli expansion is looking toward Western Iraq, where Israel has maintained a foothold in Mosul, near the Syrian border, for decades. Israel believes Western Iraq is as much a part of Israel as Jerusalem itself, tracing their stake on the region back 3500 years.
Israel has managed to play Chaldean Christian groups against their Shiite neighbors, who have longstanding enmity toward their Sunni countrymen, a region ripe for plucking. With Iran crushed by the United States, a nation whose economic viability would face immediate collapse with the closing of Persian Gulf oil supplies, a power vacuum would immediately open. Wikileaks has had significant success in neutering America’s diplomatic capabilities, leaving Israel as the regions only military force.
The “Wiki-War” is dependent on Iran having no air force and poor air defenses. With these crippling problems and a “defense only” capability aimed at shutting off the world’s oil supply, an air campaign against Iran will be devastatingly successful. Iran is virtually defenseless against it.
When the oil stops and the banks and stock markets crash, the exodus of “dual citizens” will begin.
LAME “LEAK” SITE NOTHING MORE THAN THIN COVER FOR
“THE TEL AVIV TANGO”
By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor
Now “Wiki-Leaks” is busy selling phony bin Laden stories, having the long dead Osama humiliating the CIA by running around villages in Afghanistan selling vacuum cleaners. What is our “leak” site really about? This is a dead news cycle. The World Cup is over, lots of people on holiday and no major stories. Only in a dead news period like this, as Oliver Stone pointed out, could the Israeli controlled media dump a pile of lame rumors mixed in with box loads of chickenfeed, passing it off as the story of the century.
Even the cover story, the mysterious Assange fleeing the murderous CIA, working to save the world is lame. WikiLeaks is lame. Please, everyone, go to the site and read everything there. I have seen more confidential information on a weather report. Assange is hardly a James Bond figure. Woody Allen is masculine in comparison.
Journalists all get leaks, and frankly, we don’t print most of them. Some we can’t trust. Some are just too dangerous. Some are simply illegal. Some are blatantly self serving Israeli propaganda coated with a veneer of anti-Americanism. This is “Wiki-leaks” material. What is important is what they don’t print. The only things that come out about Israel, the country most vulnerable to leaks, the country always up to the most skulduggery, is an occasional harmless story like their major leak on East Jerusalem settlements. It hit the New York Times first.
When you read Mr. Assange’s output, you are looking at one of the Mossad games, nothing more. They send some stories to Fox News, some to CNN, some to the Washington Post or London Times. They have their pick as their friends and co-workers own those outlets and so many more. The game today is using Wikileaks, given its 15 minutes of fame for trashing the US in Iraq with the helicopter video, to spread imaginary stories about Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Middle East capable of standing up to Israel and the enemy of India.
India is what it is all really about. Israel is playing India for a fall, drawing them into their games they way they did with the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan. India will wake up with their government bought off, blackmailed, up to their neck in wars and insurgencies at home and fighting Israel’s enemies abroad. India is the next real target for rape, destruction, destabilization by Israel and our “Wiki-leak” is part of that game.
Another chosen victim, of course, is the United States, hated enemy of Israel, not for public consumption, however. Check the names of those who looted the American economy. In the top dresser drawer of 80% of those who took the US into bankruptcy, you will find an Israeli passport.
Did anyone ask why nothing was reported in 90,000 pages regarding the massive drug dealing in Afghanistan? With stories in the press around the world reporting that President Karzai and his brother are the biggest druglords in the world, why would this not be mentioned? Is it because Karzai is a good friend of the Indo-Israeli alliance that runs Wiki-leaks?
Classified Army documents are filled to the brim with reports that the CIA and their private contractors are involved in drug operations with Karzai but also other names are named including many prominent Americans, some members of congress. I won’t leak their names but I know they are in the documents. If Wiki got what they say they got, then most of their documents would have reported corruption, drug dealing, governments of a dozen countries would have been mentioned.
If real leaks were made public and we did something about it, first by arresting the gangsters and spies filling congress, the White House and every federal agency, we might balance our budget but who would be left to do the Sunday morning talk shows? If you want the names of those who would really be on leaked documents, check your TV listings. It isn’t a coincidence. Those chosen to lie on television are also being paid for other duties as well.
Israel would have been cited for laundering drug money for the Taliban. It is in the documents. I didn’t release them. That is illegal.
BG Asif Haroon Raja of Pakistan, former Attache to Egypt and respected intelligence analyst had the following to say about the Wiki barrage:
“Unsubstantiated and fabricated allegations against Pakistan and its premier institutions are so absurd and decayed that it gives nausea to the reader. Only ones who enjoy the stale jokes are its manufacturers or the game players. ISI-Taliban closeness has been drummed up in such a manner as if it is the biggest sin ever committed. Each time it is presented with a new flavor to make it look more breathtaking. This unholy practice has been going on systematically and incessantly for the last six years to condition the minds of the world audience and to convert falsehood into truth. Story of this nature is routinely published in western media every fortnightly.
In the last few months write ups on this subject have suddenly gained impetus. Previously, accusations were in the form of allegations made by newspapers and think tanks. Now top US civil and military officials have jumped into the arena with loins girded up and have started using high handed tactics openly without caring for diplomatic decorum. Propaganda assault together with verbal assaults by visiting officials and drone attacks have become a norm. They have become xenophobic and overbearing. This can be gauged from the mood of the three US visitors who visited Islamabad recently.
Prickly Hillary Clinton can see ghost of Osama sauntering in Pakistan each time she lands in Pakistan . Through her lens she sees ISI in cahoots with Taliban. She again reminded our harried rulers that any attack on US homeland with connection to Pakistan would have devastating consequences upon Pak-US relations. She conceitedly dangled few carrots to make them do more. Grim looking Holbrooke and tense ridden Adm. Mike Mullen harbored similar ideas. The trio wanted Pak Army to cut off its entire links with Taliban, consider Indians as friends and to promptly launch an operation in North Waziristan to chase out Haqqani network and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), the two outfits most dreaded by USA . LeT has been put on the hit list to please India .
Wikileaks is a follow up of London Report and some of the objectives behind it are to keep Pakistan pressured and cornered, authenticate Indian allegations about ISI’s involvement in various acts of terror in Afghanistan, demonise LeT and defame ISI, exert pressure on Obama Administration to affect a change in its policy of softness towards Pakistan, reconciliation with Taliban and withdrawal of coalition forces. India together with Northern Alliance and pro-war American senior officials are possibly behind the Wikileaks scandal. This report is less harmful for Pakistan and more injurious for USA since source reports on Pakistan mostly provided by RAAM and RAW agents were never taken seriously by the receivers. Receiving officers have been noting their remarks on such reports as lacking in authenticity, biased and devoid of credibility. Moreover, such manipulated leakages would further widen rather than build trust gap between USA and Pakistan .”
When Joe Biden and General Petraeus both reported that Israel was endangering American troops, the classified portion of this involved Israeli operations in Afghanistan, which are extensive. Why would General Petraeus have gone to congress about Israel if he didn’t have documents? We couldn’t manage to leak those also? They are all over Washington, anyone could pick them up. They just don’t. Ask Oliver Stone why.
Hundreds of pages of reports of Israeli and Indian operatives in Pakistan’s region called Baluchistan were tossed out also. Their involvement in terrorism, not only against Iran but working directly with the Taliban in Pakistan was there but not included. So much wasn’t included.
Nothing involving drug flights being serviced by Israeli companies was released. It was in the files. If we really want to leak things, they are out there. It can get bloody.
Wikileaks leaves a trail of stench from Mr. Assange right to Tel Aviv. If anyone couldn’t see it, the corporate press or the Israeli press or the Zionist press or whatever the current buzz word is for the useless press, they put you on the path. They are the ones putting a spotlight on the disinformation and failing miserably to note how obviously the leaks have been edited to serve Israeli games.
Wikileaks is Israel. Assange works for them, I hope not unwittingly. I hate it when people are duped. I would rather he were paid or being blackmailed. I always want the useless to be rewarded in this life because, just in case their is another one after this, they know what they can expect there.
It won’t be pleasant.
I didn’t want to write this, add to the problem. Even negative publicity is publicity. Every time I am attacked, my readership goes up dramatically. It almost encourages one to be abrasive and unnecessarily controversial, like with Fox News.
Let’s cut this short. Wikileaks is simply another ploy by the ultra powerful Israel lobby, a cheap game meant to humiliate the United States, destroy Pakistan and build a reputation for a puppet. I suspect it will fail. I hope this effort is useful in that endeavor.

“In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens you can bet it was planned that way”
Alleged quote by FDR.
The UN has asked the US administration to probe the involvement of American forces’ in human rights abuses, summary executions and war crimes in following the “largest classified military leak” detailing accounts of torture and killing of over 66,000 civilians.
Asking the fox to investigate the chicken house certainly won’t result in any military or government heads rolling but for those who think Wikileaks is working for the CIA or the Mossad, what is planned is that the Wikileaks Propaganda Helps Build A Case for Attacking Iran. With reports like “how Iran devised new suicide vest for al-Qaeda to use in Iraq,” war crimes by the U.S. and/or Israel against Iran can be looked at as justifiable.
The Mossad front SITE institute most likely had the the latest Gadahn video ‘in the can’ and ready for release as soon as Wikileaks gave the world their Iraq ‘leaks.’
The timing of the release of both the Wikileaks and SITE ‘reports’ is not coincidental but to be expected. In the intelligence services psyops against humanity, game planning is essential. Most may not see it but the game is transparent. More folks are realizing that everyday and that’s the edge we have. Now we just have to act on it.
